Single/double cylinder cleaning

The Flexo Wash cleaning systems can clean gravure cylinders of all sizes. Excess ink is cleaned off the cylinders by rotating and oscillating brushes that clean from the shaft and end of the cylinder making it clean on all surfaces. The cylinder face is cleaned by a travers surface brush.

Two ways of cleaning - your choice!

Two types of cylinder cleaning units are available: 

  • Cylinder cleaning with non-solvent liquid
  • Cylinder cleaning with solvents

These Cylinder Cleaners work with environmentally friendly cleaning liquids, which are specially made for the deep cleaning of cylinders with all types of ink. There is also an option to use your own solvent blend. The water from the high pressure rinse is automatically led directly to the drain, then to a tank for re-use or to one of our water treatment units. The water consumption is only ten liters for each roll meter.

The PLC-controlled machines can be equipped with rotating brushes, which make it possible to clean gravure cylinders in the machine. The brushes ensure in-depth cleaning of the engraved parts of the cylinder thus leaving it completely clean on all surfaces. The machines can be equipped with rotating brushes for cleaning of gravure cylinder ends, where there is often a heavy build-up of ink, which is difficult to remove.

The hard rotating and oscillating brushes will remove all ink from the shaft and end of the cylinder, making the cylinder clean on all surfaces. The cylinder can then be taken to production, storage or rechroming without any manual treatment.

NON-SOLVENT CLEANING

FW Gravure-series

Larger FW Cylinder Cleaners are equipped with a PLC control, enabling easy change of the various program settings i.e. washing time, rotation speed and temperature. 

FW 3000-4500 Cylinder Cleaners: Designed to clean larger and heavier rolls and sleeves, these cleaners can be adapted for your specifications. Some additions are an extra traction system to clean more cylinders per wash or reinforcing the machine for even heavier rolls.

FW 2000-2 & 3000-2 Cylinder Cleaners: Designed to clean two cylinders per wash. There is an option to add an extra traction system to these units increasing their output to as many as four cylinders per wash.

FW 3000-4500 XL Cylinder Cleaners: Designed to hold a larger cylinder diameter than the FW 3000-4000 standard units.

GCC 2300 ATEX-series

The Gravure Cylinder Cleaner 2300 ATEX is designed to clean gravure cylinders with solvents. Safe and gentle on the cylinders, you can clean the cylinders as often as needed. 

To clean, solvents are sprayed directly on the cylinder. The system is effective for all types of rotogravure cylinders. The cylinders are completely clean, without causing any wear and tear, and ready for immediate reuse or storage. 

This cleaner has the option to add oscillating end face brushes.

There are two types of GCC 2300 ATEX:

  • GCC 2300-1 ATEX : 1 cylinder per wash cycle
  • GCC 2300-2 ATEX: 2 cylinders per wash cycle
